About the ingredients of our Botanical Dyeing -1/2
Our series of [Bali] are extracted from five plants originated in Indonesia.
In our botanical dye factory, we mix the five colors from native plants mentioned in below like paint and create various colors.
Indigo - Blue
Mango - Yellow
Mahogany - Brown
Ketapang - Black
Secang - Red
For example, we get purple from Blue and Red.Green from Blue and Yellow.Orange from Red and Yellow. By mixing a tint of Brown, it gives natural contrast.
Depth and Brightness of color is generated by delicate sense of our craftsman. Even by using the same material of the same tree, the color results come out differently according to the weather each year.
We are unaware of the color results until the color is dyed and the material is dry. Therefore we rely a lot on our craftsman's long time experience and perception.
It is difficult to make the exact color like chemical dye since we use natural ingredients.
Thanks to the technique of our craftsman, blessing of nature and our desire of Yin Yang all there united in one, we often get unexpected magnificent results.
None of our products are the same since our colors and patterns are created by Mother Nature. The more you repeat to wear our products, the more unique colors you will get by the gradual change of nature color.
